Over a period of 3 sessions a combined total of more than 386 unique specimens were collected often in triplicate to be deposited at several herbaria. The collections respresent specimens from 100 plant families from xx genera and xx species.

Botanical specimen collecting fieldwork and training was conducted from 23-28 August 2023. Several sites were visited and sampled within the Nyungwe National Forest including; Kamiranzovu Trail, Gisakura Forest, Karamaba Trail, Ndambarare Trail, and Cyamudongo Forest. Specimens were collected in a duplicate set of 3 when possible to be deposited into several herbaria including NHR, DFGFI, and EA. Specimens deposited in the NHR are planned to be digitized and published online.

Specimens were collected in duplicate sets of 4 when possible to be deposited into several herbaria including NHR, FR, BR, and EA. Specimens deposited in the NHR are planned to be digitized and published online.
